Meet your dog walker

Hi, I'm Emma.

I've looked after dogs around Woodstock for over five years, and it is still the best part of my day. I started doing this because I could not picture a working day that was not built around dogs.

Your dog is treated like one of my own, walked at their pace and brought home content. My rescue, Scout, often comes along, and he has a real knack for helping nervous dogs settle in.

Dog walking, done properly

Whatever your day looks like, your dog gets out, has a good run-around and a bit of fuss. Book a one-off when you are stuck, or set up a regular weekly routine.

Dog walking

A proper walk, not a quick lap of the block. Whether your dog loves company or prefers their own pace, I look after them from the moment I collect them to the moment I bring them home.

Why owners choose me

Letting someone walk your dog and hold your house key is a big ask. Here is why local owners are glad they did.

Small groups, never a pack

Four dogs maximum, matched by size and temperament, so yours gets real attention rather than being swept along in a crowd. It does mean spaces are limited.

The same hands every time

You book me, not an agency, so it is one familiar person at your door every visit, never a rota of strangers your dog has to get used to.

Nothing left to chance

Insured, DBS checked and dog first aid trained, with a photo and a quick note after every walk, so you always know your dog is safe and happy.

"Rain or shine, Emma is always on time for Rosie's midday walk. Knowing she has been out and had some company while I am at the office has taken a real weight off my mind."

Mark B.Dog walking

"Emma is reliable in any weather and wonderful with our anxious rescue, who has come on no end since walking in a small group. I trust her completely with the house key."

Questions, answered

The things owners usually want to know before booking. Anything else, just ask.

What happens at the free meet and greet?

I come to your home so you and your dog can meet me with no pressure. I'll talk through your dog's routine, walk preferences and any quirks, show you my insurance and DBS, and answer anything you like. If it feels right, I'll book you in. If not, that is completely fine.

How do you keep my dog safe on walks?

Your dog stays on lead until I know them well, and we keep to routes I trust, away from busy roads. I carry a canine first aid kit on every walk, just in case.

What happens if the weather is bad?

Your dog still gets walked. I head out in all but the most dangerous weather. In a heatwave I shift the walk to the cooler ends of the day and keep to shade and water.

How do you get into my home?

Most owners leave a key or a lockbox code. Keys are stored securely and labelled with a code rather than your address, and key handling is covered by my insurance. You decide exactly how I come and go.

What if my dog does not get on with other dogs?

Then a solo walk is the answer, and plenty of my dogs have one. I never force a nervous or reactive dog into a group, and I'll be honest at the meet and greet about what suits yours best.

Am I tied into a contract, and how do I pay?

No contracts and nothing to tie you in. Pay by bank transfer or card, usually weekly or monthly, and change or pause your walks whenever life changes.
